About Greek Meatballs

Have you ever had Greek Meatballs? If not, you need to try!

Greek Meatballs are also known as Keftedes. It’s a mixture of ground meat with breadcrumbs, and herbs.

My version has a twist – it includes delicious feta cheese that melts inside the meatball, giving you a delicious texture and taste in each bite!

Your whole family will love this delicious recipe. Eat it with veggies, orzo, or serve with a greek salad!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Greek meatballs made out of?

Greek meatballs are made of ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, feta, and herbs.

What do I serve Greek meatballs with?

You can serve Greek meatballs with orzo, a greek salad, or with a plate of fresh vegetables! You can also serve with a side of tzatziki sauce for dipping.

Breadcrumbs help the meatballs bind together. They allow the mixture to hold together so when you cook the meatball, it keeps its signature round shape.

About the Recipe

This recipe couldn’t be easier. Once you have your ingredients, you’ll combine in a large bowl until everything is mixed together really well.

I like using plastic gloves for this so my hands don’t get full of meat, but you do you!

After you have your meatballs made, you’ll heat up some canola oil in an oven safe skillet and sauté the top and bottom until they’re nice and brown.

P.S. If you don’t have an oven safe skillet, check out this cast iron skillet on Amazon.

Then, you’ll transfer to the oven for a few minutes to let the middle of the meatball cook, and there you go!

I love serving these with plenty of fresh veggies and then drizzle with olive oil.

You could also serve with tzatziki sauce, a lemon herb butter, or pita. I also love garnishing with fresh herbs like rosemary or dill!
