Frequently Asked Questions
Crostini means ‘little toasts’ in Italian. They are small, toasted slices of bread, often topped with cheese or tomatoes before serving.
Crostini is made with a long, thin sliced bread, typically a baguette. To make crostini, brush both sides of the sliced bread with olive oil and toast in a pan until golden brown.
While bruschetta is also a warmed bread, it isn’t typically as crisp and small as a crostini. Bruschetta is traditionally made by toasting larger slices of bread and rubbing with garlic cloves and topped with olive oil. Crostini is made with smaller slices of bread, like a baguette, and toasted until crisp.
