This is also a great drink to sip on while decorating this holiday season!

    Cranberry Mulled Wine

    What is mulled wine?

Mulled wine is a drink that contains red wine, mulling spices, fruit, and sometimes liquor.

It's a very popular drink drink the winter. If you've ever been to Europe, it's very commonly served at Christmas markets in European countries.

Last winter, when I traveled to Italy, one of my favorite memories was buying a large mug of mulled wine and sipping it while seeing the sights and sounds of Florence on New Year's Eve.

    About the Recipe

This recipe is an homage to the mulled wine I sipped on in Florence. I added cranberry juice and garnished with cranberries to give this drink an extra cozy holiday feel.

I love this recipe because it's so simple!

You'll need a bottle of red wine - use anything you like! If you're unsure, I would recommend a red like a Pinot Noir or Petite Syrah. These wines are both known to have strong fruit flavors and would be great in this cocktail.

This recipe also calls for sweet red vermouth - I highly recommend getting a bottle and storing it in the fridge. It's a delicious cocktail addition, especially in the winter!

If you don't have sweet red vermouth, you could use a few shots of bourbon, but check the taste before you serve to see if you need to add more sweetener.

Finally, you needed to serve these in some adorable mugs, because it's the holidays! Check out these ADORABLE mugs on Amazon if you need some holiday cheer!
