Guys, you need to make this seared sesame ahi tuna. It's healthy. It's easy. And it's delicious!
Last week, I found an amazing deal on ahi tuna at Lucky's Market. I love this market for so many reasons, like their fresh and local produce, great wine and cheese selection, and now for this ahi tuna deal.
With a massive ahi tuna steak on my hands, what was I to do? I decided to keep it simple and really let the flavor of the tuna shine, and thus this recipe for seared sesame ahi tuna was born.
Many people are averse to ahi tuna because it's prepared rare, but once you have good ahi tuna, you'll be a believer.
This dish would be at least $30 in a restaurant, but at home this was less than $15 for two people. Score. You might even have the ingredients for the sauce on hand, so you only have to buy the tuna.
I love to keep it simple in the kitchen, and this recipe definitely follows that mantra. Serve this delicious ahi tuna with sticky white rice and you'll have a healthy and delicious dinner in 20 minutes.

What you'll need:

Easy, great tasting tuna coated with sesame seeds, and quickly seared. This tuna is served rare, so be sure to use a good quality fresh tuna. In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, mirin, honey and sesame oil. Divide into two equal parts. Stir the rice vinegar into one part and set aside as a dipping sauce.
