Preheat the oven. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the tofu. Remove the tofu from the package and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut into 1-inch cubes.
Season the tofu. Add tofu to a large bowl. Toss with soy sauce, avocado oil, cornstarch, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Bake the tofu. Spread the tofu in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Make the spicy mayo (optional). In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, and soy sauce (or lime juice) until smooth.
Assemble the bowls. Divide cooked rice between bowls. Top with crispy tofu and garnish with green onions, cilantro, and chili oil. Drizzle with spicy mayo if desired. Serve and enjoy!
