Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. While water is coming to a boil, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add mushrooms to the skillet and cook for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Add salt, pepper, garlic, and red pepper flakes to the pan. Stir well. Add wine and stir.
Let mushrooms for 5 more minutes, then reduce heat to low while pasta cooks.
When your water is at a rolling boil, cook your pasta until al dente.
When the pasta is done, reserve one cup of pasta water. Strain and add pasta to the pan. Mix well. Add pasta water 1 tablespoon at a time until the pasta is ‘saucy’. Transfer to a large serving bowl.
Drizzle remaining olive oil over the pasta. Top with fresh basil and parmesan and serve.
