White Wine Pasta Sauce Recipe
This White Wine Pasta Sauce is easy but still feels a bit fancy. It’s a simple mix of butter, garlic, and white wine, all finished off with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or when you want to impress without a lot of effort.
Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup white wine
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for serving
- Chopped Italian parsley for serving
Instructions
- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter, olive oil, and garlic. Sauté until garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add white wine, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Simmer until wine is reduced, then use tongs to transfer the pasta directly to the sauce.
- Toss to combine and add ¼ cup of pasta water to the pan. Add parmesan cheese and continue tossing, until sauce is glossy.
- Top with additional parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, then serve.
